Hello world from the train!

Ok, so from my about me page you know im a geek and this is going to further enforce that point. I thought it would be interesting to see how easy it would be to write a post at a point in the day I have some free time – on the train home (Newcastle to Durham, 15 min), in the UK, specifically on a national express service. Iv connected to wordpress using my mobile phone – nokia n95 using the free wireless network and i have to say it works pretty well. All apart from the post being written with a text biased look and feel. Hello world, from the train!

How do you connect to a wireless network using the Nokia n95? (Added when home – thought it may be of use)

By default my n95 connects to the internet via the 02 Web Access Protocol (WAP), I think. This costs money and my budget is tight especially with a wedding coming up. So what you need to do when you know there is a free wireless network available is:

• go into the main menu > then tools > and then finally WLAN wizard
• a selection of all available wireless networks will be shown
• simply highlight the network you would like to use and connect

Very easy indeed! Although I didn’t add much in the first instance to this post using my mobile it was very easy and could be a great way of making a start on posts as it’s often when I think through ideas or even just catching up on some news. I know I could use pen and paper but I really hate the idea of having a bag full of crap. I’m never without my mobile!!
